Privacy policy
This page says what Əmlak.az collects while you use the site, what it is needed for, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
When you post a listing: the contact name, the telephone number and the email address you give, and the listing itself — its description, its price, its address, its point on the map and its photographs. The camera data a photograph arrives with is stripped from the published picture and kept only for the moderator who reviews the listing.
When you register: your name, your email address, your password — kept only in a form that cannot be read back — your telephone number if you give one, whether you agreed to receive our offers, and whether your address has been confirmed. If you sign in with Google we also keep the identifier Google gives us for your account, so that the next sign-in finds the same one.
About money: your balances, the listings and services you bought, a record of every payment and refund, and the reference the payment gateway gives each transaction. Your card details never reach us and are not held here.
Technical: how often a listing’s page was opened and how often its telephone number was asked for, and the ordinary technical records our servers keep of requests. So that one reader is not counted twice, the site holds a one-way trace of the address and the browser in memory for half an hour and no longer.

Why we need it
To publish and check listings, to let a buyer reach the person who posted one, to charge and refund correctly, to write to you about your listing and your account, and to give an owner an honest count of how their listing is doing. We do not sell any of it.

The letters the site sends are delivered through our email provider.
Beyond these we pass your data on to nobody, except where the law requires it.

emlak.web.bookmarks — written the first time somebody who is not signed in saves a listing, so that the saved list survives. It is kept for 400 days, and no script can read it.
Cookies whose name begins with emlak.owner. — written when a listing’s management link is opened, so that the secret leaves the address bar. One never outlives the link it stands for.

A listing stays on the site for 30 days per term. A deleted listing can still be brought back for a while; once it is finally removed, it and its photographs are destroyed 30 days later. A refused listing is destroyed about 60 days after the refusal.
An account and what it holds are kept while the account exists and deleted when its owner asks us to.
A submission left unfinished at the payment step, and the photographs uploaded with it, are kept for 48 hours and then deleted.
An email confirmation link is valid for 24 hours, a password link for one hour, and a listing’s management link for 180 days.
The record of payments, refunds and balance movements is kept as our accounting record, and is not deleted with a listing.

Your rights
Most of it you can see and change yourself: your name, your telephone number and your choice about our offers on the account page, and a listing’s text and photographs through its management link. Beyond that you may write to us to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have your account and your listings deleted.
